Proceeds from the event will provide scholarships for two Charlotte-Mecklenburg School students to attend a two-week travel and study program in July 2009 in the United Kingdom. The program is conducted by the American Community Schools in London and is entitled The British Studies Summer Program. The students were chosen via an essay contest conducted by the British American Business Council North Carolina.
