					<p>Proceeds from the event will provide scholarships for two Charlotte-Mecklenburg Schools students to attend a two-week travel and study program in July 2010 in the United Kingdom. The program is conducted by the American Community Schools in London and is entitled The British Studies Summer Program (BSSP). Each year the students are chosen via an essay contest conducted by the British American Business Council North Carolina in conjunction with Charlotte-Mecklenburg Schools.</p>
